The Sonae group, a leading specialist food retailer in Portugal, has adopted LaSer Symag's C-Link Loyalty solution. This consists in a comprehensive offer of sales promotion, couponing and loyalty, which includes a simple loyalty card or a combined payment, credit and loyalty card, in store, on the web and on mobiles. In 2013, the Group wants for the first time to incorporate a third-party brand in its multichannel and "real time" programme: Galp, the leading fuel distributor in Portugal.

Symag implements an adapted version of C-Link Loyalty and adds self-contained and independent loyalty platforms to it. In this way the Sonae group can choose each of the brands participating in the loyalty programme.

Sonae identifies each customer through multi-brand buying behaviour and offers them personalized experiences and loyalty offers. Its loyalty programme with its shared operating costs represents an excellent way of introducing its "single-brand" customers to other group brands.

Over 80% of Portuguese households are active cardholders and 88% of sales are made under the loyalty programme.
